Mother accused of placing pillow over baby daughter’s mouth and nose on two occasions

A person has been accused of half covering her young mother’s face when she was two months and five months old.

Due to the court’s joke orders, the 34-year-old Singaporean permanent tenant may be identified.

She was originally charged with a reckless act endangering mortal life for supposedly placing a&nbsp, pillow on her five- month- ancient daughter’s face in February, causing the child to drown.

However, on Tuesday ( Jun 4), the woman received a modified charge of ill-treating a child under the Children and Young Peoples Act. Additionally, a subsequent command of this nature was made against her.

The lady is accused of infecting her child in November 2023 by covering her two-month-old daughter’s mouth and nose with a bed, according to the two new allegations.

At about 1.30pm on Feb 17, she reportedly placed a blanket, a bed and a cover over her five- fortnight- old mother’s mouth and nose, endangering the toddler’s safety.

On Tuesday, the girl went back to court to make a second notice of her event. Although she did not state her appeal, her lawyer claimed that her husband was willing to pay her a loan.

The attorney previously claimed the case involved a fresh family with the “weight on the family enormous,” and that his customer was good to challenge the original cost.

The situation has been adjourned to July for a pre- test event.

If convicted of ill- treating a child, the woman could be jailed for up to eight years, fined up to S$ 8, 000 ( US$ 5, 940 ), or both.
