A two-year-old boy in the state of Karnataka in southern India was trapped inside a borewell for about 20 hours. He has now been released from it.
On Wednesday evening, the boy was playing on a farm when he fell head first inside the 16 feet ( 5 meters ) deep open borewell.
Authorities supplied the child with air and then dug a parallel trap, about 21ft ( 6m )- deep to rescue him, PTI news agency reported.
The infant is being treated in a clinic where he was taken.
