Meraque Group has signed a MoU with the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia, marking a move towards empowering Malaysian youth with education and skills training in robotics and drone solutions. 

In a statement, the robotics solutions company said the MoU solidifies a partnership for the development of youth skills in drone training workshops and the utilisation of facilities across all branches of Institut Latihan Kemahiran Belia Negara. 

Alongside the Ministry of Youth and Sports Malaysia, Meraque Academy is a joint initiative with the Malaysian Air Youth Club, Malaysian Youth Council, and Tenggara Parliament Coordinating Office.

The academy’s objectives underscore exposure to unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)/drone industries and community engagement, aiming to create a robust learning environment for cultivating both interest and professional development. It welcomes participants without specific prerequisites, offering programs designed to inculcate interest and facilitate career-level improvements.

Meraque Academy’s curriculum features a diverse range of courses spanning from two days to a year, encompassing classroom and field training in areas such as Remote Pilot Certificate of Competency Basic, Beyond Line of SiMeraque inks partnership with Ministry of Youth and Sports to propel Malaysia to robotics excellenceght, Agriculture, Specific Operations Risk Assessment (SORA), curriculum for schools, summer camps programmes and corporate events.

Suria Affandi (pic), Meraque’s chief operations officer, shared that the signing of the MoU is a significant milestone in Meraque’s, as well as the government’s collective efforts to propel Malaysia towards becoming a regional hub for robotics by 2030.

Our unique course syllabus has been meticulously designed not only to teach but to instill a profound appreciation for the field,” she added.
