Meet the 66-year-old woman who’s been nurturing Changi Airport’s outdoor plants and trees for 44 years

” Believe it or not, our entire team managed to “jaga” ( take care of ) every plant and tree on our own,” the statement continued.

Ping and her coworkers may split the trees themselves or trim the ones that needed care at Paya Lebar. They may also detect and locate every grow, tree, and flower it.

Ling realized she had a deep interest in the job because she had first chosen it for financial stability; it was a great fit for her. &nbsp,

In 1981, when the airport moved to Changi, Ling had to choose: Sit with the airport or find another job. She was excited about planning the vegetation for this fresh plot of land, which was several times larger.

Ping joined Changi Airport Group’s gardening group in 2009 after the airport was corporatized. She said she doesn’t get her position for granted because she is the only team in charge of the carrier’s backyard vegetation. &nbsp,

” To me, it was always about being there for the vegetation”, she said. ” As long as I may manage the vegetation outside the aircraft, I’m happy”.

Her work, she told CNA Women, may be broken down into two groups: Routine and non-routine things. &nbsp,
