The Judicial Commission will launch a serious disciplinary probe against Criminal Court judges who interfered with the police’s attempt to arrestUpakit Pachariyangkul, a legislatorin connection with a major drug trafficking bust last year.

According to an informed supply on Tuesday, the decision was made at a conference presided over by Supreme Court President Chotiwat Luengprasert on Monday.

After investigators discovered a connection between the senator, his son-in-law Din Yung Chulathura, and some drug traffickers from Myanmar that the authorities had merely apprehended earlier, Mr. Upakit was the subject of an arrest warrant last year on October 3.

But, the arrest warrant was revoked the same day it was approved, despite the court’s assertion that Mr. Upakit did not seem to be a journey risk while serving in the Senate.

Four police officers, including Pol Lt Gen Manapong Wongpiwat, an investigator assigned to the Phayathai police station, were to be transferred after the arrest warrant was canceled.

Afterwards, in an open letter outlining what transpired in judge, Pol Lt Gen Manapong revealed the truth.

The deputy prosecutor of the Criminal Court, one of four magistrates named in the case’s investigation, gave his approval for canceling the arrest warrant. However, according to the cause, the judge’s name was not brought up at the meeting on Monday.
