Maxis’s Scholarship Programme returns to help young Malaysians accomplish their academic dreams and the opportunity to contribute positively to the nation.
Within a statement, the telco said it is investing in the next generation of women, STEM, leadership plus innovation aimed at helping young Malaysians achieve their academic aspirations and the opportunity to lead positively to the country.
Natalia Navin, chief recruiting officer at Maxis, said, “Our goal is to continue assisting young Malaysian skill in building eco friendly skillsets, so that they can remain ahead and related in this fast-changing tech-driven landscape.
“This is a fantastic and timely opportunity for college students, so we encourage applicants to apply today. ”

The three types of the Maxis scholarship grants are as follows:
- Maxis Women in Tech Scholarship: Enabling outstanding young women from all of backgrounds to go after their undergraduate studies in different tech areas;
- Maxis Tech Scholarship: Framing top talent that are passionate about technology and innovation to pursue their undergraduate studies in various fields of technologies; and
- Maxis Youthful Leaders Scholarship: Delivering bright students the platform to launch them into a leadership trajectory, as well as winners of innovation and change.
Last year, 15 excellent individuals were awarded the Maxis scholarship grants following a rigorous selection process involving evaluation, group activities and interviews.
Choo Carmen, a Maxis Women In Tech Scholar, studying computer science at Monash University Malaysia, said, “Throughout the programme, I was furthermore given an internship opportunity, where I had been able to learn and understand how computing is usually applied to innovation plus transformation.
Farah Dayana Durra Binti Jamil, the Maxis Women In Tech scholar, studying computer science and information technology (Software Engineering) at Universiti Malaya, “Apart from the financial aid, the internships provided exposure to the latest technology, with support from supervisors, fellow college students, and the Young Talent Team to become the best versions of ourselves. ”
