
SINGAPORE: A 59-year-old man was charged with murder on Thursday ( Mar 13 ), two days after another man was found dead in a Boon Lay flat.
Singaporean Abdul Rani Bin Md Ariffin appeared in the State Courts via video connection dressed in a light polo shirt.  ,
He is charged with committing murder , by causing the death of Abdul Rahman Mohamad Ariffin, 57, at about 4am at a component in Block 187 Boon Lay Avenue.  , The approach of death was never specified.
CNA understands that the sufferer was his nephew.
The trial applied for Abdul Rani to been remanded for medical exam and for medical evaluation on whether he is suffering from any “abnormality of the mind that greatly impaired his intellectual responsibility” for the reported act.  ,
Asked if he had something to claim through a Malay translator, Abdul Rani, who was disadvantaged, replied that he had nothing to say.  ,
The judge then remanded the accused for medical examination in view of the severity of the cost.  ,
He will then appear in court on Apr 3.
The police were alerted to the case , at about 11.35am on Tuesday. The prey was found lying still at the 11th-floor level at , Block 187 Boon Lay Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The system was cordoned off when CNA arrived at the scene on Tuesday. A brain case was eventually carried out of the product.
A ally said that two guys and two ladies lived in the product, but did not hear anything right before the event. Another saw a person sitting on a bench and handcuffed behind his back.
The crime of crime carries the death penalty.
