SINGAPORE: A 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday ( Apr 14 ) for reportedly igniting lights several times before near a Yishun HDB wall.
The policeman claimed they arrived at the scene at around ten. 40pm on Apr 9, at Block 642 Yishun Street 61.
On TikTok, a small picture of the lights was posted, but it has since been removed.
No injuries were reported.
The guy was identified through floor investigations as well as pictures from police camcorders and closed-circuit television.
According to the 1972 Risky Fireworks Act, he will face a charge in court on April 16 for using dangerous lights.
If found guilty, he faces a jail term of up to two years, a maximum fine of S$ 10,000 ( US$ 7,400 ), or both.
It is an infraction to have, promote, distribute or transfer harmful lights.
The Singapore Police Force stated that the police “have zero sensitivity” for acts that cause unnecessary concern for the people and seriously harm the life or safety of others.
