Lazada partners MDEC to drive digitalisation amongst SMEs

Lazada partners MDEC to drive digitalisation amongst SMEs Lazada is collaborating with the Malaysian Digital Economic climate Corporation (MDEC) to drive the Jualan Hemat Keluarga Malaysia @ DE Dagang by helping to digitalise and grow the business of 100, 000 nearby micro small plus medium enterprises (SMEs).

In the statement, the e-commerce platform said this is part of the Programme Perdagangan Digital Keluarga Malaysia (DE Dagang), a strategic initiative to spur the country’s economic recovery, while further developing plus accelerating the electronic economy of Malaysia.  

It said SOBRE Dagang’s key focus areas include travel and leisure and craft, halal and agriculture, together with other relevant areas.  

The initiative will also benefit millions of Malaysians to obtain affordable, value-for-money consumer products and redeem incentive vouchers, Lazada said.

Lazada said its attempts will contribute on the DE Dagang goals of onboarding more new sellers on to the e-commerce system and e-payment infrastructure, extending strategic support to existing local sellers, and motivating their participation within commercial campaigns that will assist them increase their product sales performance, optimise development and conversion.  

Under Lazada University, nearby sellers can also pick-up more online marketing skills via the Masterclass and training courses, this said.

Beyond this, Lazada will work towards advertising Made in Malaysia items, while uplifting homegrown brands and providers offered by local business owners amongst Malaysian customers.
