The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) and its affiliate , Food, Drinks and Allied Workers Union ( FDAWU), announced in a joint statement on Sunday ( Feb4 ) that” an amicable settlement” has been reached and the package will be used to assist eligible affected union members.
In collaboration with NTUC’s e2i ( Employment and Employability Institute ), Lazada has also set up a specific training fund for FDAWU to support affected members ‘ employment and employability.
Lazada and FDAWU pledged to continue working closely to address the needs and concerns of the damaged employees, stressing that all aspects were taken significantly.
In October 2020, Lazarda gave FDAWU strong reputation. This implies that FDAWU may engage in additional discussions with Lazada to ensure a better result for its union members as the officially recognized union for the organization, according to the statement.
