Khairy dismisses claims Najib will be referred to IJN

PETALING JAYA: Wellness Minister Khairy Jamaluddin has denied claims that Datuk Seri Najib Razak will be sent to the National Heart Institute (IJN) for treatment.

He said criminals need to undergo therapy at government private hospitals according to the stated methods.

“The procedure is to recommend inmates to authorities hospitals and in Najib’s case Health Ministry director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah had determined that he (Najib) be sent to Hospital KL (HKL) on Monday, ” Sinar Harian quoted Khairy because saying.

Previously Tuesday (Sept 13), Najib’s lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah told benefit Court his client has been warded in Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) since Mon (Sept 12) and could be referred to the National Heart Start (IJN).

IJN is a private entity under the Malaysian Finance Ministry.
