Because cliche as it may appear, it was love at the beginning for celebrity couple Rozza Ramli plus Jai Wahab. In 2003, Rozza, a former actress and air travel attendant, met Jai, a singer plus songwriter, at a charitable organisation event organised simply by local television station, Suria.
The stars aligned for the set. “He was lucky because I was hardly in Singapore in the past as I was soaring with Singapore Air carriers. But it was throughout the SARS period and am took voluntary past due leave so that I could get more involved with Suria, ” quipped Rozza.
Jai, who was based in Malaysia at the time, also happened to be back in Singapore. He concocted a plan that could allow him to keep touching Rozza. Before the event ended, Jai contacted her for a photograph. “I always let her know that I invented the selfie. Because at that time, all I had was obviously a Nokia phone using a back camera, ” the 49-year-old joked.
“We took the image and then he asked if I wanted your pet to send it in my opinion, ” Rozza, 39, recalled. From there, the pair began interacting. Five days afterwards (yes, you examine that right), Jai proposed over the cell phone. A year later, these were happily married.
