More than 300 people cross borders into Tak state in Thailand as fighting continues

Over 300 Myanmar immigrants crossed the border into Tak state of Thailand early Saturday as fighting continued after Karen makes seized a defense foundation from the Myanmar troops in their state.
Indian border patrol officers and men had greatly reinforced the border region between tambon Mae La in Tak and Hpa-An city of Karen status in Myanmar.
The more safety was prompted by an outflow of 328 migrants fearing for their health amid fighting between the Myanmar government and the Karen National Liberation Army under the Karen National Union (KNU).
In collaboration with the Karen National Defence Organisation (KNDO ), the rebel group attacked and besieged the Repanadi military base in Lang Poi district, just seven miles from the Thai border.
Myanmar military reported requesting atmosphere support, with a Yak-130 combat aviation dropping three weapons on Karen outposts.
Help is being provided to the migrants while Thai authorities continue monitoring the situation.
Myanmar’s defense, also known as the Tatmadaw, announced the expansion of a peace until the end of this month to help promote healing job after the March 28 disaster. However, there have been several reports of extended weather strikes and plaster attacks on rebel-held territories during the current truce.
On Tuesday, nearby inhabitants in Kanchanaburi state spotted two Burmese fighter jets flying over their village. Defence Minister Phumtham Wechayachai said afterwards that they had simply flown close to the border and dismissed the affair as a minor problem.
