Responding to the assertion that he is no longer a part of PDI- P, Mr Gibran, who is now the governor of Surakarta, replied briefly:” That’s ok, that’s good”.
When asked the same question, Mr. Widodo likewise responded briefly. ” Yes, thank you”, he told reporters on Wednesday, as quoted by CNN Indonesia.
Since Jokowi served two terms as president of Surakarta from July 2005 to October 2012, the group has supported his political career. He was afterwards supported by the PDI- P. and elected government of Jakarta in 2012 and president in 2014, all with the help of the PDI- P.
The PDI- P will still be the largest party in parliament after winning the most seats, 16 per share, in the February poll. A nationwide working meeting will be held in May for PDI-P to determine whether it will add Mr. Prabowo’s governing coalition or join the opposition.
The present coalition led by Mr. Prabowo has 48 % of the chairs, and senior advisers have stated that they want to grow that to a lot. Some events, such as Nasdem, which backed Mr Anies, have now held conversations with Prabowo.
The Constitutional Court on Monday rejected Mr. Anies and Mr. Ganjar’s petition for re-election or disqualification because they claimed the Feb. 14 election was ruined by widespread fraud. Additionally, they claimed that President Jokowi abused state-sponsored social assistance programs, local leaders, and other government entities to influence Mr. Prabowo’s approval.
The courts decided there was no evidence to back up those claims.
Following the Constitutional Court’s determination, on Wednesday, the General Election Commission (KPU) publicly announced Mr Prabowo and Mr Gibran as the elected president and vice president for the time 2024 to 2029.
After the bottom prosecutor’s decision, which cannot be appealed against, Jokowi on Tuesday called on all factions to return in building the land. He was furthermore cited by Indonesian online advertising company Detik.com as saying that he would be preparing for the change process that may give the president to Mr. Prabowo.  ,
The government supports the change from the present to the new authorities, the statement reads. We will create it”, Jokowi said.
Jokowi has n’t spoken about his political plans since becoming president, but according to several Reuters sources, he wants to take control of Golkar, which could allow him to maintain significant influence and potentially act as a counterbalancer to Mr. Prabowo’s leadership when he takes office in October.
Recently, during the political campaign Mr Prabowo himself had spoken about the possibility of his fresh state continuing with Jokowi’s continued programs, including the development of Nusantara, Indonesia’s new capital city in Kalimantan.
