Weather experts warn that the wet season wo n’t start until the third week of May, with temperatures expected to soar to new highs between Friday and Tuesday.

The heatwave may continue through Wednesday and Thursday, according to Somkuan Tonjan, chairman of observation at the Meteorological Department, under the influence of southwest and southerly winds.

From Friday through to Tuesday following year, he said, northwest and northerly winds do reach the North, Northeast, Central Plain and the East, with high conditions that may break records set in 2016 and 2023.
