The primary organizer of the Sustainability Expo 2023, Thai Beverage Public Company Limited ( ThaiBev ), is urging people to take part in lowering carbon emissions and challenging the private sector to assist the nation in becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
Thapana Sirivadhanabhakdi, president and CEO of ThaiBev, thanked people who made this event arise and expressed his wish that everyone can become one of the many smaller gears needed to propel the earth towards a better and more sustainable future during his final statement on the final moment of exhibition, which ended on Sunday.
He claimed that the occasion was not just his idea; instead, it was the result of discussions with others who shared his belief that sustainability is crucial.
I’ve had the opportunity to speak with senior executives from another private companies. They emphasized the importance of ecology and how it depends on us to achieve it, he said.
According to him, Thailand has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2065 and carbon neutrality by the year 2050.
Additionally, people should make a contribution to conservation by advancing it, particularly by accounting for their annual carbon emissions, protecting the environment, or recycling and managing cheap spend, he said.
We must examine ourselves in order to recognize how much of a problem we have placed on community. We must begin planting plants to offset the effects if we are aware of how much carbon monoxide we emit. We may assess our daily activities because, according to him, if we lack self-awareness, we will never know which areas we need to focus on and improve in order to reach the carbon neutral purpose.
According to Mr. Thapana, SX2023 has demonstrated that every industry is working to help, and he had personally learned from his own efforts to promote sustainability.
