The driver claimed he was punched by a member of Tunku Ismail’s security team outside the St Regis hotel in Kuala Lumpur and that a palace representative offered him RM800 ( US$ 170.41 ) to withdraw his police report on the incident.
Razarudin Husain, the head of Malay officers, stated that the police were presently looking into allegations that the driver had been subjected to physical abuse.
The Johor crown prince stated on social media platform X that any attempt to relate an “external security personnel “‘s actions to him and the entire royal establishment was “uncalled for” following the incident.  ,
