A panel from the Ministry of Education has chosen Tohoku University as the first victim of Japan’s new 10 trillion japanese( US$ 70 billion ) investment account for the advancement of research-driven universities. Because of its reputation as a top-tier technology research institution, Tokyo University was selected for its excellent organisational implementation plan.
