Italy fetes Republic Day with grand bash in Bangkok
At the Roman National Day greeting held on Wednesday at the Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at the Chao Phraya River, left Anutin Charnvirakul, deputy prime minister and internal secretary, shakes hands with Italian Ambassador Paolo Dionisi.

Several ministries, authorities, Guests, ministers, celebrities and other officials attended the Roman Republic Day event at the Four Seasons in Bangkok monday.

The Ambassador of Italy, Paolo Dionisi, recalled that on June 2, 1946, Italians chose a state in a election, after the tough and dreadful times of World War II.

Italy is currently one of the seven industrialized nations in the world and a leader in terms of global security and stability on all continents.

This year also marks 156 years of diplomatic ties between Italy and Thailand, a sign of great diplomatic connection.

However, this year also marks the 100th anniversary of the arrival in Bangkok of Corrado Feroci, Silpa Bhirasri, founder of Silpakorn University and the father of modern arts in Thailand.

A festive show was inaugurated during the celebrations of Republic Day in the appearance of Feroci’s daughter, Prof Anna Maria Calligaris, who came especially from Italy for the event.
