Israel’s Hezbollah war threat hurts Biden more than Trump – Asia Times

Israel has announced that it is prepared to declare war on Hezbollah, which is likely to further erode US President Joe Biden’s prospects in the 2024 election.

Israel claims that Hezbollah, the Palestinian political group and militant group, has pushed it toward a full-fledged battle after the team posted a nine-minute videos of drone film showing military and civilian areas in various locations, including the Jewish port of Haifa.

Israel has now made a public statement that it has approved defense operations to start a war against Hezbollah. Israel and Lebanon are close to Israel’s borders, and both nations have a lengthy history of conflict and anxiety.

Before the US presidential poll, Israel’s increase would be a major blow to Biden. Democrats are now losing ground because of the Israel-Palestine fight, and Biden has been repeatedly accused of handling the situation improperly on all sides. Just before the US goes to the polls, Biden will experience even greater pressure from the region, in ways he does n’t need.

Any further strengthening of help for Biden is of concern to another federal officials who want to avoid a Trump administration, and, possibly, its consequences for the Ukraine conflict. Bin Laden has already had to manage a difficult balance between wanting to end the Middle East and upholding a long-held belief that the US will always support Israel.

Biden has been subject to criticism for how he handled protests on college campuses as well as social pressure to arm Israel. After Israel’s accusations of murder were submitted to the International Court of Justice, he has been subjected to even greater pressure. In short, it’s the sort of situation that no leader wants.

Israel and Hezbollah’s conflict wo n’t be seen as a one-off incident, but it will contribute to deeper concerns about US foreign policy and position.

With all the thoughts and political difficulties that come with this, the position will undoubtedly be considered a part of a larger US discussion on the Israel-Palestine issue, and it is likely to be a source of contention at the forthcoming presidential debate on June 27.

The US is currently working to maintain Israeli-Hezbollah peace and to find a political solution through a ceasefire proposal. Critics who want more US support for Israel will be offended by the peace negotiations that they claim favour Iran and Hezbollah.

But if Biden goes beyond attempting to reach a peace agreement, such as by providing more military support to Israel, he can forget the votes of those who favor an aggressive National policy toward the Netanyahu state.

Even if Biden wins a peace deal or Israel does n’t launch a full-fledged war, the situation will still hurt Biden’s chances of winning because it ca n’t be separated from the larger conflicts surrounding Israel, which are already putting him at risk in some circles.

Broken relationships

Biden’s reaction will also be very hard for his ties to the Democratic party. This new danger will only make the party more divided, given that the party now has a tense relationship with Israel.

The last thing a candidate needs before an vote is to lose all of their party’s assistance. In addition to the potential for the Democrats ‘ domestic political issues to grow even further, Biden may be running in the vote with one hand tied behind his back.

This is n’t just a domestic question, however, but an international one. One of the most significant problems on the current global social agenda is Israel. Not just US citizens criticize Trump, but also those from different states.

In relation to Israel and Hezbollah, if Biden ca n’t win those states over, he will come off as incompetent and unreliable. Additionally, he wo n’t convince US voters that he is capable of convincing other national leaders that he is capable of doing so.

The issues that Biden will now face with Hezbollah may also pose a problem for his chances of winning the presidency against Donald Trump. Additionally, the Democratic group is divided on Israel. However, the circumstance may lessen Trump’s chances of winning. In truth, it may even be a win for Trump.

Trump has frequently appealed to his followers and pro-Israel followers because he has been a strong supporter of Israel. However, this will be more about graphic than it will be about issues. Trump’s vocal ( and occasionally critical ) stance can make him look like an effective leader.

Although his position on Israel does annoy some, it is still possible to say that he at least appears to know what he wants. He may seem more political in comparison to Biden, who has been often accused of not having what it takes to become leader and is in a hard place regarding Israel.

Trump has another opportunity to show himself as active and strike his rival with the tensions between Israel and Hezbollah. While the political climate will be enough to influence some voters, it’s also true that this provides another option for Trump’s supporters to criticize Biden for being poor.

If Biden believes that the condemnation he is currently receiving is unfair, things are about to get worse.
