Khan, Imran and his wife were imprisoned for seven years by a Muslim court after their marriage was dissolved as part of the latest punishment meted out to the former prime minister.

The court declared Khan’s 2018 union with belief doctor Bushra Bibi to be un-Islamic and unlawful.

He has already been charged with corruption. The two were found guilty of using state items to their advantage next Wednesday, one year before a general election.
