Hotels expect higher demand in second half of 2024, with major events and big-name concerts lined up

RISING DEMAND FOR HOTEL ROOMS&nbsp,

Demand for bedrooms at shops resort 21 Carpenter, nestled in an early 20th century payment residence on Carpenter Street, has increased since April. During this summer holiday time, firm went up by about 10 per share.

The lodge is one of the brand-new amenities close to the Clarke Quay neighborhood. Most of its visitors come from the United States, Australia, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong.

” April was a little gentle in the market for the majority of us. We were driving on a high that we had in March, ( when Singapore ) had Taylor Swift ( to perform for six ) nights, which was amazing for our city. In April, there was a true detergent that hit us”, said Mr Tarun Kalra, public director of 21 Carpenter. &nbsp,

” In standard, the mood in the market has been a little more optimistic. And we do see a better future outlook and a lodging rate in line with last year.

Mr. Tarun anticipates a 30 % increase in demand over the next three to six months as more people travel to the nation as a result of big events.

” Even though a lot of the MICE ( meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions ) events go to Suntec or Marina Bay Sands, or they’re held in Sentosa, I think there’s always a spillover effect that comes into the other hotels around the city”, he added.

Because typical guests who ordinarily would stay at other hotels are now searching for something else, we might be able to help them find that perfect spot to enjoy a different setting or vibe. And that’s where we fit into the bigger photo”.
