According to him, the state has also sent letters to Malaysian-owned estate businesses that run in Indonesia to make sure they abide by the law and avoid burning.
He urged the Association of Southeast Asian Nations( ASEAN) to take joint action to stop the yearly haze, either through legislation or an agreement.
He stated,” I hope that every nation will be able to be available in order to find a remedy because the haze causes enormous harm to the business, to commerce, and especially to wellbeing.”
He claimed that Malaysia was also” really” considering a Singaporean-style law that holds businesses accountable for air pollution.
However, he said there were worries about whether Malaysia would be able to bring charges against companies based abroad.
