The commission’s weekly meeting on Tuesday did not discuss a potential new source of funding for the digital wallet scheme, which might include using the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Srettha Thavisin, the prime minister and finance minister, made it known that the cabinet’s Tuesday objective did not include the 10,000-baht handout plan.
He was responding to rumors that a new financing option for the Pheu Thai Party’s lineup program would be discussed at Tuesday’s government meeting.
When the electric pocket plan committee meets to discuss the financing options, Mr. Srettha stated that the problem would be made clear on April 10.
Prior, Lawaron Saengsanit, continuous secretary for the Finance Ministry, claimed that a meeting of the digital wallet plan committee had instructed the government and the Budget Bureau to take into account potential funding resources for the program. The meeting was chaired by the elite.
Before the scheme commission meets on April 10, a resource from the Government House claimed Mr. Srettha had instructed the Budget Bureau and the Finance Ministry to work together on the viability of each funding option.
According to a resource in the finance ministry, the policy committee has so far agreed to use the funds from both fiscal years ‘ expenses rather than from acts or a combination of budgets and money.
However, it is far from sure where the majority of the program’s budget will come from, according to the resource.
Mr. Srettha stated on Tuesday that he prefers to have the money issue resolved by April 10 before going over it to the cabinet meeting that week for further discussion.
” This is so that we can avoid any confusion”, the prime minister said.
