NEW GENERATION OF LEADERS LISTING THE HELM ,
Ong Kian Ming, the former deputy secretary of international trade and industry, claimed that Loke has a clear mandate for his second word as secretary-general of the DAP. In this way, he could develop a plan that will be led by the next era of DAP officials, who are typically in their 40s and early 50s.
As a result of this, Ong, a former DAP CEC member and two-term parliamentarian, said,” There will likely be more younger candidates who are aligned with this new generation of DAP leaders at the state and ( federal ) levels in the upcoming general elections.”  ,
At the same time, Ong, who is currently the director of Malaysia’s Taylor’s University’s program on philosophy, elections, and economics, noted that Lim will continue to be a leader’s director.
Other than Loke, Justice and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh, 46, and Human Resources Minister Steven Sim, 42, also performed well in the elections.  ,
The rise of the new crop of party leaders, which include the loves of Loke, Sim, and Yeoh, signals a “generational transform,” according to James Chin, a professor of Asian studies at the University of Tasmania.  ,
Because they are now a part of the government, this group thinks the DAP needs to transition into contemporary politicians. You can no longer have an opposition thinking, he said, noting that the majority of the party’s leading vote recipients joined between 2008 and 2018 to represent a new wave of leadership.
CNA had recently reported that Lim Guan Eng’s allies have argued that because he is the only DAP leader who is open to expressing his frustration with the authorities and other problems, he should be allowed to play a prominent part in the group.
He had even stated to the parliament before the CEC voting on Sunday that while DAP may continue to back Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, it was not a “yes-man group.”
Chin hoped that the party’s members would band together after the polls because they understood that Anwar might form a partnership if the party failed to win the following square of elections.
DAP is a member of the ruling Pakatan Harapan ( PH) coalition led by Anwar. DAP, the second-largest organization in the lower house, holds 40 parliamentary seats, making it the second-largest after the opposition’s right-wing Parti Islam Se-Malaysia ( PAS ), which has 43 elected representatives.
Parti Keadilan Rakyat ( PKR ) in Anwar has 31 seats in Parliament, while Parti Amanah Negara ( Amanah ) and the United Progressive Kinabalu Organization also make up the PH.  ,  ,
Ibrahim Suffian, who co-founded the Merdeka Centre for Opinion Research, even refutes Chin’s claim that the group is evolving with the days.  ,
The party authority is returning, which more closely aligns with PH. He said,” I think the new line is made up of younger leaders and people who are in a feeling less hostile and continue to criticize the government” behind closed doors.  ,
