MINIMUM Pay
Mr. Wong claimed that nearby wages are a major expense driver for some businesses because many of the opposition parties propose a universal minimum wage.
He pointed out that Singapore has measures like a Democratic Wage Model sector by sector and Workfare, which provides extra income to lower-wage workers.
They “have been working pretty well,” said Mr. Wong.
Opposition events claim that this is inadequate. By law, they want a required income that is applicable everywhere. According to one plan, the least salary was set at S$ 2,250 per month.
Although it appears appealing on paper, Mr. Wong claimed that implementing it may cause businesses to raise rates for the goods and services they sell to Singaporeans, adding to the pressure on everyone’s cost-of-living.
According to him, businesses may reduce their hiring of low-wage workers because they will now be more expensive, leading to fewer jobs and more employment for those who can’t deal with it.
” These are items the opposition did not recognize, of course. There are a lot of information in their proposals, as well as a long record of wishes. But are they doable, are they lasting, and are they worthwhile? Does the outcomes be bad? Mr. Wong pleaded with the public to consider it.
” Anything that sounds too good to be true probably is also good to be true.” There is no such thing as” a free lunch”!
NOT AS A RESULT OF OTHER Antagonism
Mr. Wong noted some of the important policy adjustments the government has implemented since he took office as prime minister in May of last year, and that they did not occur because of the opponent’s appearance.
We must strike a better compromise between our efforts to provide a lifestyle and space. He claimed that we should have the most space possible to swallow, desire, and experience life to the fullest.
According to Mr. Wong, the changes include changes to the Gifted Education Programme, which eliminates streaming, and the elimination of the Primary School Leaving Examination.
He said there is now more parental leave for families to spend time with their children of up to 30 days, or seven and a half times.
Emotional health and caregivers are other areas that have received a bigger increase, according to Mr. Wong.
” There has only been one month. I’ve only just begun. He continued,” There is still a lot more we can do up.”
” And important is that more opposition tones prevented all of these things from happening. These are the outcomes of a group that hears, learns, and acts for you. These are the outcomes of a group that places you at the center of everything we do.
