Gas tank explosion in Rayong

Three wounded in storm, residents evacuated

RAYONG, On Thursday morning, a massive pyrolysis gasoline ( pygas ) tank exploded and caught fire at Map Ta Phut Tank Terminal Co Ltd in this eastern province.

Around 10.45 am, firefighters received a notification about the affair at SCG Chemicals Plc (SCGC), the chemical arm of Siam Cement Group (SCCG).

According to reports, at least three people were injured, which caused the terminal’s operations to stop and residents who were near.
