Football Association of Singapore president Lim Kia Tong dies

SINGAPORE: Mr Lim Kia Tong, president associated with the  Football Association of Singapore (FAS), has died.

In a Fb post on Wednesday (Sep 14), the particular FAS said it had been devastated to receive news of Mr Lim’s “sudden” death.

“Mr Lim experienced served as the first elected FAS president since 2017 plus was a dedicated servant of the sport this individual loved, ” it added.

From Thursday, the FAS will be setting up a tribute space at the reception of the FAS office at Jalan Besar Stadium for people who would like to pay their values.

“On part of the FAS Council, secretariat, and the wider football fraternity, all of us send our greatest condolences to the family of the late Mr Lim during their time of grief, ” added the association.

Mr Lim was re-elected as leader of the FAS to get a second four-year term in 2021.
