Exxon delivers first lasting aviation fuel cargo to Singapore Changi Airport

SINGAPORE: Exxon Mobil said on Thursday (Jul 7) it has delivered the very first sustainable aviation gasoline cargo to Changi Airport, as part of an one-year pilot program to test the new gasoline for planes.

The oil major has been selected in Feb as the fuel supplier for the pilot programme launched by the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Singapore Airlines and Temasek.

The sustainable fuel is manufactured by blending ExxonMobil-produced processed jet fuel using the Neste-produced neat lasting aviation fuel  at ExxonMobil facilities. The particular fuel is after that delivered to Changi Airport’s fuel hydrant system.

“ExxonMobil will be bringing its set up capabilities in fuels manufacturing and strategies to help customers for example SIA achieve their particular net-zero ambitions, inch said chairman and managing director associated with ExxonMobil Asia Pacific, Geraldine Chin.

ExxonMobil plans to supply more than 40, 000 barrels per day associated with lower-emission fuels, which includes sustainable aviation gasoline, by 2025, and also to further supply two hundred, 000 barrels per day by 2030.
