“We have no choice . because we take pleasure in travelling. ”

Assistant general manager of leisure and travel at Brand new Shan Travel, Ms Chris Tay stated: “We have not been travelling for quite some time. And so i believe during this period of your time, they have saved enough so they don’t brain (going) further. ”

This statement was shared from the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), which supplies travel information in order to tourists looking to visit Japan.

“Price is not a big issue, ” said Ms Hatsume Nagai, JNTO’s executive director regarding Singapore, citing a survey conducted by organisation.

She also noted the travel demand regarding Japan is “higher than expected”.

Some travel providers told CNA that will Japan was among the most popular destinations for that December holiday time period.

This is despite the country allowing only website visitors on package excursions included in its first stage of reopening which usually began on Jun 10.
