After learning they may have been involved in bid-rigging with the construction company owned by Praween Chanklai, aka” Kamnan Nok ,” the Department of Special Investigation ( DSI ) has summoned representatives from 65 companies for questioning.

After Pol Maj Sivakorn Saibua, an official of Highway Police Division 2, was killed by a gunman last Wednesday at his home in tambon Takong in the Muang city of Nakhon Pathom, Mr. Praween was detained there.

Thananchai or” Nong Tha Pha” Manmak was the name given to the shooter, who was Mr. Praween’s near assistant. Thananchai was killed outside of the courtroom.

But, Mr. Praween denied that he had given his subordinate the order to shoot and shoot Pol Maj Sivakorn in retaliation for rejecting a demand for his police officer brother to be transferred.

Mr. Praween received his design company’s inheritance from his father, a previous Tambon Takong leader who founded the P Raweekanok Construction Company. In addition to providing river digging and rental services in Nakhon Pathom and several nearby provinces, it won a number of road, tower, and bridge development projects.

Later, Mr. Praween founded the P Phatanarungrod Construction Company.

On Tuesday andnbsp, Pol Capt Surawut Rangsai, chairman of the DSI’s Division for Offenses Relating to the Submission of Bids to Government Agencies, stated that P Raweekanok Construction Company and P Phatanarungrod Construction Co., two businesses owned by Mr. Praween, may have broken the rules regarding the distribution of requests for federal agency jobs.

According to the analysis by financial analysts, Mr. Praween’s companies’ account balances were excessive in comparison to their yearly reports provided by the Department of Business Development.

According to Pol Capt. Surawut, both companies have received proposals on 1,300 state projects valued at more than 70 billion baht since 2015. This is in contrast to the estimated value of the companies’ assets, which range from 100 to 200 million.

After bidding problems were discovered, the sector has also issued permits to 65 companies that submitted bids on roadway projects in 2017 for doubting on Monday, he said.

After at least six police officers at the group were discovered to have made or received exceptionally large transfers that night, which were thought to be pay for the shooting, a possible financial deal between Mr. Praween and the shooter was discovered.

However, Pol Col. Vachira Yaothaisong, 44, the captain of Sivakorn, was reported to have died as a death after gun rest was discovered on both of his hands, according to federal police chief pol Gen Damrongsak Kittiprapas.
