DPM Heng Swee Keat to make official trip to Vietnam

SINGAPORE: Mouthpiece Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat can make an official visit to Vietnam from Sunday (Sep 11) to Thursday night.

Throughout his visit, he can meet Vietnam Excellent Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Deputy Primary Minister Le Minh Khai, and Standing up Member of the Secretariat of the Central Panel of the Communist Celebration of Vietnam Vo Van Thuong.

He will also discuss with Ho Chi Minh City Party Secretary Nguyen Van Nen, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh Town People’s Committee Phan Van Mai, plus members of the nearby business community.

During his vacation, Mr Heng can visit the Vietnam-Singapore Commercial Park (VSIP) within Binh Duong province. This was the first VSIP to be established in 1996.

“The 10 VSIPs in Vietnam today really are a major component of the economic engagement, and also have attracted US$14 billion dollars in investments and created more than 270, 000 jobs within Vietnam, ” stated the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) in a declaration on Saturday.

Mr Heng, who will be also Coordinating Minister for Economic Procedures, will be accompanied by authorities from the PMO, the particular Ministry of International Affairs, Enterprise Singapore and the Economic Advancement Board.
