The Prime Minister’s Office ( PMO ) announced on Wednesday ( May 22 ) that Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong, will make a working visit to Tokyo this week.  ,
During his attend,  , from May 22 to May 25, Mr Gan did speak at the 29th Nikkei Forum on the Future of Asia, organised by Nikkei. Eastern Leadership in an Uncertain World is the forum’s design.
Since 1995, Nikkei has held the platform annually, and it is regarded as one of Asia’s most significant international meetings.
Mr. Gan may be accompanied by officers from the Ministry of Trade and Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This is Mr. Gan’s first trip abroad since taking the oath of office as Deputy Prime Minister next week.  ,
The 65-year-old was likewise appointed chairman of the Monetary Authority of Singapore and took over oversight of the Strategy Group for the Prime Minister’s Office.
