DNB, TM, ZTE collaborate to deliver world’s fastest 5G live trial on mmWave spectrum

The world’s fastest 5G live trial, capable of delivering astounding speeds up to 28Gbps, will be unveiled by Digital Nasional Bhd( DNB ), Telekom Malaysia BhD( TM ), and ZTE Corporation & nbsp. The parties stated in unison that this ground-breaking technology is ready to transform Malaysia’s modern landscape and establish a new global standard for wireless communication.
 
This partnership will leverage TM’s network infrastructure and digital expertise, as well as the ZTE & nbsp, mmWave active antenna unit and / or chipset technology, to further DNBs commitment to drive 5G capabilities for the nation. Together, they want to offer Malaysia’s first solo 5G core, along with a flexible next-generation transportation system.
 
The parties also assert that this achievement strengthens Malaysia’s status as a leader in uplink technology, enhancing consumer experiences and industry digitalization. Additionally, it will enhance quick Fixed Wireless Access links to provide high-quality services, video broadcasting, lag-free online gaming, and immersive virtual and augmented reality applications.

In the meantime, Ken Tan Tzi Kieng, the DNB’s chief technology officer, emphasized the importance of this partnership, saying that connectivity is essential to the modern economy and that 5G, with its high throughput and small latency, helps Malaysia realize its digital aspirations. This is further enhanced by the use of uplink variety in DNB’s 5G wholesale network, which provides a 5. 5 G experience and serves as the foundation for 6G.
