Dismissal case against Thai PM likely to fail, says chief of staff

Idea OF UPHEAVAL

If Srettha is removed, a new state may be formed. With no chance of success and the possibility of a significant shakeup in the ruling empire, Phu Thai would need to propose a new prime ministerial candidate for the parliament to vote on.

As Thailand struggles to recuperate from the pandemic under Srettha’s watch, the case has heightened social unrest and rattled financial markets.

The real estate mogul, who only stepped up a few months before the poll of last year, is still plodding along.

” The prime minister is continuing to perform his task normally”, said Prommin. ” Simply speaking… there is some distraction for certain. But finally, you know, we are comfortable”.

As Prommin spoke on Thursday, Srettha was on the beach area of Phuket, overseeing a beach restoration job as part of his government drive to boost tourism, one of the few bright spots in Thailand’s business.

The same court’s decision regarding Srettha may follow the announcement of a new party and command on Friday, which had been scheduled to take place a week after its main rival Move Forward, the largest party in parliament, was ordered to dissolve.

When military-backed politicians in both houses closed divisions, Move Forward was unable to form a government in the 2023 vote.

Prommin, who was a part of Thai Rak Thai, one of Pheu Thai’s earlier versions dissolved by authorities, said that in a republic, one must be “very optimistic” about disbanding events representing the will of the individuals.

” We have been the target earlier. At least three times, we have already been dissolved”, he said.

” So, if I say it’s good, I do n’t think I am saying the truth”.
