Digital Penang, Founder Institute partner to accelerate funding ecosystem for Penang startups

Digital Penang and Founder Institute, an organisation which transforms concepts into viable startups and startups into global businesses announced a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) exchange to cement the launch of the Malaysia Virtual 2023 Founder Institute Programme. 

In a joint statement, both parties said the programme aims to transform development ideas into viable startups that offer solutions to challenges caused by the ever changing business and industry environment.

They said the programme will lead to the creation of new startups within the tech startup ecosystem in Penang.

With a synonymous mission to grow and support the tech startup ecosystem, the parties added that the programme envisions to create and accelerate Penang tech startups in their early stages.

It will be a platform for startups and technology entrepreneurs based in Penang to develop their ventures while receiving expert mentoring and networking from Founder Institute’s pool of mentors in the industry, they said.

Early bird participation (for registrations before 19 March 2023) for the Malaysia Virtual 2023 Founder Institute Programme is fixed at US$399 (RM1,700) and late registrants are welcomed with a fee of US$499 (RM2,100).

Digital Penang and the Founder Institute welcome and encourage the participation of startups and those keen to become technology entrepreneurs into the programme.
