“As close friends and neighbours, the particular destinies of Singapore and Malaysia are usually intertwined. When we function constructively together, we all produce win-win final results with tangible benefits for our peoples plus businesses. I am assured that with Primary Minister Anwar’s support, Singapore-Malaysia relations can reach greater heights, ” said Mr Shelter.

On his component, Mr Anwar said: “The discussions were meaningful, not normal diplomatic cliches, these were of course more good outstanding issues.

“And I’m happy to say that both of us feel that bilateral relations must be enhanced. No issues should be left unresolved. We should try and do our own utmost to enhance this particular relationship and come together for the benefit of both countries. ”

He additional: “I’m also satisfied that President Halimah will be visiting Malaysia soon, and this is really a clear signal which the bilateral relations are usually vibrant, ” this individual said.

During his trip to Singapore, Mr Anwar was accompanied by his wife, Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, as well as a number of federal government ministers as well as Johor’s chief minister Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
