‘Desus & Mero’ to end on Showtime

Desus Nice and The Kid Mero, the duo behind the Showtime late-night series, announced on Twitter that they can be “pursuing individual creative endeavors shifting forward” and ending their series.
The Showtime spokesperson verified the news that “Desus & Mero” may not be returning for the fifth season. The particular show’s final show aired June 23.
“Desus Nice and The little one Mero have made a name for them selves in comedy and in the late-night area as quick-witted ethnic commentators, ” the statement from Showtime said. “Throughout its run, the collection won a WGA Award, received Critics’ Choice and TCA Award nominations plus scored interviews along with President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, Derek Jeter, Missy Elliott, Denzel Wa, Charlize Theron, David Letterman, Yo-Yo Ma and many more. They have been amazing hosts, and we want them the best, together with the team at JAX Media and the amazing crew. ”
The duo, meanwhile, did not add any information about what their creative endeavors would require or about their particular split, saying just “It’s been a good run, fam. inch
On his Tweets account, Desus Wonderful said he had been grateful to Showtime and “the hive” for “being part of the journey. ”
“Big tings soon arrive, ” he tempted.
“Desus & Mero” debuted on Showtime in February 2019 and was the duo’s third series together. They will previously had displays on Complex TV and Viceland.
