Company CEO allegedly took S$240,000 in bribes from Fullerton Healthcare Group

SINGAPORE: On Thursday, December 7, a man was accused in court of accepting money from Fullerton Healthcare Group between 2017 and 2018, when he was the chief executive officer of the plan company Aon Singapore.

Chiew Collin, a 56-year-old Taiwanese person, received one count of pleasure under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Between December 28, 2017 and May 7, 2018, he is accused of receiving a bribe from Fullerton Healthcare Group through Straits Priority Consulting for S$ 240, 000 ( US$ 180,000 ) on two separate occasions.

The cost stated that this was done as a bribe to improve the healthcare group’s commercial interests with Aon Singapore.

Chiew served as Aon Singapore’s CEO at the time.

Chiew was given a S$ 100,000 loan offer. His case will be heard once more in January.

The consequences for obtaining pleasure include a maximum sentence of five years in prison, an additional fine of up to S$ 100,000, or both.
