Commentary: Singapore football needs passion, not hooliganism

STAMPING OUT THERE HOOLIGANISM BEFORE IT REQUIRES ROOT

Singapore has a long romance with English football and follows events in the Premier Little league closely. The huge amount of passion English football fans have is impressive, and if replicated in Singapore, would greatly energise the local football neighborhood.

Whether that is achievable or not, it is vital the fact that less attractive aspects of the game are placed out before they get root in Singapore.  

Kim plus Fahrudin have been sanctioned with the Football Association associated with Singapore for chaotic conduct. Both received a three-match suspension, and Kim has been fined S$2, 1000 while Fahrudin had been fined S$3, 000.

The two individuals who occupied the pitch after the Liverpool-Crystal Palace complement have been assisting law enforcement investigations for the offence of wilful trespass.
