'Clear evidence' kamnan ordered deadly shooting of highway officer: police
Previous kamnan Praween Chankhlai is being held for alleged role in the fatal shooting of a bridge police officer, according to the song.

Police claim to have solid proof that Praween Chankhlai, 35, a former kamnan or subdistrict mind of tambon Thakong in Nakhon Pathom’s Muang region, gave the order to shoot an officer at his home on Wednesday nights.

The deputy federal police chief in charge of the case, Pol Gen Surachate Hakparn, stated yesterday that police have the information and an investigation is ongoing. Police are also aware of who assisted the shooter and the suspect in escaping, as well as who destroyed the house’s system host data and CCTV camera footage.

He added that a further investigation into the 25 soldiers who were present when the shooter killed Pol Maj Sivakorn Saibua, the captain of the native highway police station, would be conducted and that at least four officials would face charges. Highway Police Sub-division 2’s assistant captain, Pol Lt. Col. Wasin Pandee, was hurt.

Thananchai Mamnak, 45, fired the weapon while evading capture on Friday night. He later died in a firefight. On Thursday night, Mr. Praween turned himself in to the law.

According to Pol Gen Surachate, a witness who resided in Mr. Praween’s home during the attack admitted that he had buried the pistol close to the tank of an irrigation company in the Muang district. Police brought the employer to the scene yesterday, where they discovered a 9mm handgun from the supper party wrapped in tablecloth. The weapon will be examined by criminal soldiers.

According to the research group, a law officer in Nakhon Pathom purchased the weapon as part of the police welfare gun program. The official sold the cannon to Mr. Praween last quarter, and he allegedly gave it to Thananchai.

Mr. Praween claims the shooter acted separately and denies any role. But, witnesses previously informed police that Mr. Praween became irate after the victim turned down a request to exchange the kamnan’s police nephew.

Monday, the Criminal Court granted a policeman request to hold Mr. Praween. He may be held until September 20 while police carry out their research and question about 30 testimony.

According to the law, a suspect may be held for up to seven 12 time periods, or 84 weeks, before police are required to file formal charges against him or release him.

Authorities previously stated that they would oppose Mr. Praween’s bail because, after his late father, tambon Thakong, the assume had held the position of kamnan for nine years.

According to the officers, the suspect was a powerful nearby figure who had developed relationships with police from numerous stations. Typical visitors at events he hosted at his house included officers of various rates and other officials. He even bragged about having close political relationships.

His two development organizations, which he inherited from his father, were the source of his success. According to Department of Business Development data, over the previous five years, the companies reported revenue of 2.6 billion ringgit.

His opulent house has a swimming pool and an enclosed car with high-end vehicles like Bentley, Mini Cooper, and Mercedes-Benz.

The 25 soldiers present during the deadly shooting will also be investigated, according to police inspector general Pol Gen Visanu Prasarttong-Osoth, who is suspected of supporting illegal activities linked to Mr. Praween’s money. Ejection from the police force might be the harshest punishment. They didn’t do their job as police officers, he claimed.
