- Prepaid users do not have a monthly payment option
- Free for postpaid subscribers to plans above US$19.60
CelcomDigi Bhd yesterday announced its pricing for 5G access under the brand “5G Booster” for its prepaid and postpaid users.
Postpaid users have two options: get 5G with existing quota or 5G with additional quota.
Those subscribed to a CelcomDigi postpaid plan above US$19.60 (RM90) will get 5G for free with the current quota or pay an additional RM10 a month to get an extra 20GB to their quota.
[RM1 = US$0.216]
Those subscribed to a CelcomDigi postpaid plan below RM90 will get 5G for free until 30 June. They will then have to pay an additional RM10 per month for 5G access or an additional RM20 per month for 5G access and an additional 20GB to their quota.
The 5G service is also available with Celcom Mega Business and Digi Business Postpaid plans. Those on a MEGA for Business Lightning 158 and Go Digi 168 subscription could choose to get the unlimited 5G Internet quota.
CelcomDigi prepaid users must pay an additional RM3 a day, RM7 a day, or up to RM12 a week for a limited 5G access with a speed cap of 100Mbps and a quota depending on the tier. There are also no monthly payment options.
5G Booster for CelcomDigi postpaid and prepaid users must be activated —under add-ons—through the Celcom Life app or MyDigi app and is not automatic.
In conjunction with the launch of the 5G Boosters, CelcomDigi is giving customers an additional 50% bonus Internet quota usable on both 4G and 5G networks until 30 September. The speeds mentioned above are without the additional quota.
