Celcom modernises its core network to prepare for futureCelcom Axiata Bhd (Celcom) continues to modernise its network to meet ever-increasing data demands by doubling its core network capacity by deploying the nation’s largest and most advanced telco cloud-native core network. 

In a statement, the telco operator said with the new core, it is improving its network resiliency by offering more reliability, higher performance, and lower latency for all network users.

The telco added that its continuous network investments at the telco cloud-native core network is part of its commitment to address rapid data traffic growth.

This is in addition to providing customers with reliable services that customers can depend on and delivering consistent network performance with the widest LTE coverage, it said.

Celcom said its cloud-native core network, currently operating with the largest full mesh control user plane separation network, enables smooth reengineering of business continuity architecture and agile capacity management and operations. 

It added that the upgraded core network also enables the transition towards the capability of an all-in-one converged mobile packet core that offers its customers an integrated and smooth network experience across 2G, 4G and the upcoming 5G services.
