SINGAPORE: An accident involving around nine vehicles occurred on the East Coast Parkway (ECP ) on Thursday ( Oct 3 ) afternoon, resulting in a pile-up that affected two lanes.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to CNA’s inquiry by reporting that it was called at around 5.20pm to a traffic crash along ECP heading toward Changi Airport after the Fort Road return.
Four persons were transported to Raffles Hospital, according to SCDF.
The Land Transport Authority ( LTA ) released a traffic update at 6.33pm that stated the accident occurred before the ECP’s Tanjong Katong Road exit, creating traffic congestion up until the Fort Road exit.
Cars are advised to avoid roads one and two of the road, it added.
Nine vehicles, including cars and automobiles, were involved in the pile-up, with two automobiles stacked on top of each other, according to a video and images that were available on social media.
