Hun Sen, now serving as the head of Cambodia’s senators, was the first foreign leader to visit Is after the coup, travelling it in 2022.

According to Hun Sen’s Facebook article, Min Aung Hlaing promised to take Suu Kyi’s request” with the highest attention” into consideration.

The junta has so far turned down invitations from international leaders and diplomats, including those from the regional bloc of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN ).

Despite having a poor reputation, ASEAN has been working hard to find a political solution to Myanmar’s growing conflict.

More than 4, 900 people have been killed in the government’s crackdown on dissent since its revolution and more than 26, 000 people arrested, according to a nearby surveillance party.
