The northern, northeastern, and central regions are expected to experience more rain and thunderstorms through May 13 through the Thai Meteorological Department ( TMD).

People in the three regions have been warned to expect summer storms, but the TMD said in a statement that the rain, which is being caused by a warm mass over southeastern China and higher Vietnam, will reduce the heat.

The southeast weather is expected to strengthen in the southeastern region and cause some areas to experience heavy rain. People there are being urged to closely monitor the TMD’s wind warnings.

A change in the Andaman Sea’s weather pattern is anticipated from May 14 through May 16, which may indicate a change in the time, according to the TMD. However, more components are needed to determine when the gloomy season begins.

The TMD had earlier predicted that the rainy season may begin in the third or fourth month of this quarter.
