Following the arrest of two people working as contractors in Hua Hin next August, a English man was detained in Bangkok on suspicion of purchasing sexual from young women.
James Alexander Oldfield, 35, was detained on Saturday by police from the Anti-Tradeking in Persons Division ( ATPD ) on Yen Akat Road in the Thung Mahamek neighborhood of the Sathon district.
The ATPD captain, Pol Maj Gen Sarut Kwaengsopha, stated that the Briton was wanted on an arrest permit issued by the Criminal Court on January 19.
In the beach city of Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan, two women had taken girls under the age of 18 to buy sex to tourists. The incarceration was part of a follow-up exploration into their customers.
The thorough research revealed that Mr. Oldfield was one of those clients. Researchers discovered that he had fled to Bangkok, where they found him and took him to a house in the Sathon neighborhood.
The soldiers were not persuaded by the suspect’s denial of all costs, claiming they had solid evidence against him. For more legal action, he was turned over to ATPD Sub-division 6 authorities.
