US President May well Biden has once again said the US would certainly defend Taiwan in case of an “unprecedented attack” by China.
Speaking in a CBS interview, Mr Biden replied “Yes” whenever asked if that meant US causes would defend Taiwan.
The interview aired on Weekend, prompting the White-colored House to reiterate that US policy had not changed.
Washington’s policy is definitely one of “strategic ambiguity” – it does not commit to defending Taiwan, but also does not rule out the choice.
