Street vendors are being urged by the City Hall to sign up for the government’s tax-paying system, which will manage their existence on streets and public spaces.

Just vendors operating in these areas that make less than 25, 000 ringgit per month are permitted to do so, according to Bangkok governor Chadchart Sittipunt&nbsp, who reportedly voted to book sales slots in place of doing so on Wednesday. &nbsp,

To maintain this scheme, contractors, including those with incomes below deductible limits, are required to participate in the tax payment method. This would allow the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ( BMA ) to monitor their earnings, according to Mr Chadchart.

He continued,” The City Hall has the authority to take vendors out of areas where they litter up or interfere with pedestrian traffic.”
