Backdrop falls at National Day celebrations in Simei, 5 suffer minor injuries

A backdrop fell during a ceremony held for National Day in Simei on Friday ( Aug 9 ) and caused five injuries. &nbsp,

East Coast GRC MP Jessica Tan&nbsp, said in a Twitter post that the people” suffered minor injuries such as cuts and bruises” after the&nbsp, landscape “fell ahead” during phase activities. &nbsp,

The open area directly across from Eastpoint Mall hosted the ceremony in Changi Simei’s ward, according to Ms Tan. It was scheduled to work from 8.30am to 11.30am.

” I am incredibly appreciative of the quick motion our society emergency response team and the organizing committee took, which provided urgent care and assistance,” she said. &nbsp,

When organizing events,” health of our occupants is our top goal.”

Ms. Tan stated that her team will continue to follow up with the people who have been affected and “investigate the problem to ensure that this does not occur again.”
